Publishing in iSpring in Spanish

Create an online version of the presentation

  1. Open the Spanish PowerPoint File from the Kits folder.
  2. IMMEDIATELY do a File > Save As and save the presentation inside either the SPAN, ALT SPAN, or CALOSHA SPAN folder here: K:\1__Online\1 - Online Training\1-eLearning Courses\3 - Spanish
  3. Delete all the slides that come before the Welcome slide. Delete the final slide with the trademark information.
  4. Open SPAN Extra Slides from the Templates, Assets folder here K:\1__Online\1 - Online Training\1-eLearning Courses\z - Templates, Assets
  5. Insert the two accountability slides at the beginning of your presentation and the final exam slide at the end of your presentation.

Add audio to the presentation

  1. Copy each slide’s script from the white textbox into the notes section at the bottom. Make sure each slide is in Spanish.
  2. In the iSpring Suite 10 Menu, click Manage Narration. A new window will appear.
  3. In the Narration Editor, click Audio.
  4. First, navigate to the folder with the first 2 accountability slides audio. Select accountability1 and accountability2. Here is the file path for those: K:\1__Online\1 - Online Training\1-eLearning Courses\z - Templates, Assets
  5. Click Open. When the Import Audio window appears, make sure that Insert Clip has the very first accountability slide (1.) highlighted in blue. Then click Insert.
  6. Next, click Text to Speech from the Audio dropdown. In the new window that appears, select Insert Text from Notes. Make sure you’ve selected Español (Estados Unidos) and then Diego (natural voice) from the voice options. Then Insert.

Get to Know Diego: Diego is only picky about a few things (make these adjustments only in the notes section). So far here is what we know. Periods after items in bulleted lists. Accents need to be on The Words Tráfico and Médico. Spell OSHA as OCHA. English Words(weird).

Create the Quiz

  1. Open the iSpring Suite 10 App on your desktop. Go to
    • Quizzes > Open > K:\1__Online\1 - Online Training\1-eLearning Courses\5 - iSpring Quizzes
  2. Rename Question Group 1 the name of your second tab. Then begin adding questions from that tab in the training.
  3. Create quiz questions for the course. Make sure the correct answer is selected.
  4. Save the quiz file inside the English or Spanish folder. Go to
    • Quizzes > Open > K:\1__Online\1 - Online Training\1-eLearning Courses\5 - iSpring Quizzes

Insert the quiz questions into your presentation

  1. At the end of each tab (and any sections that needed their own question groups) add a blank slide. Now click on the first blank slide you added.
  2. In the iSpring Suite 10 menu, click Quiz. When the Quiz Maker Window opens, select the quiz you just made.
  3. Go to Properties > Question List
  4. Under Include Question in the quiz, select Questions from selected groups and uncheck every group other than the first one. Save & Exit.

Create the presentation outline

  1. In the iSpring Suite 10 menu, click Slide Properties.
  2. Under Title, name every slide that has a header or subheader.
  3. The first slide is called Responsabilidad. The Welcome slide is called Introducción. The final slide is Examen.
  4. Quiz slides should be named “Prueba: [Insert Name of Tab Here]”
  5. Highlight all the slides within each tab (not including the tab title slide) and click demote at the top. Do this again if there are any subdividers in each tab. (This step creates a hierarchy in the table of contents so that users know which section they’re in.)
  6. Quiz slides should be categorized under the main tab they’re in, not a subdivider.
  7. The second Accountability slide at the beginning is categorized under the first slide.
  8. The Exam slide is categorized as its own main tab.
  9. Finally, select all the slides with Ctrl A, and click On-Click at the top that it is unselected.

Change all the final settings

Go to Player >

    1. Colors
      1. Color Scheme
        • Change to Dark Orange
    2. Layout
      1. Player Panels
        • Uncheck Top Bar.
      2. Features
        • Notes: None.
        • Presenter Video: None.
        • Company Logo: Show
          • Click the paper and pen icon. 
          • In the Presentation Resources window, click Browse and locate the Safety Provisions logo here:M:\05- Company Use\Management\Designs\Logos & Business Identity\Safety Provisions\SP Logo Sept 2021\Black
            • Its the one that says "LOGO BLACK SM"
          • Click Okay.
    3. Outline
      • Uncheck Display Slide Numbers.
    4. Bottom Bar
      • Uncheck Enable Seek.
    5. Playback & Navigation
      • Navigation Type: Limited.
      • Uncheck Enable Keyboard Navigation.

Publish!

  1. Go to Publish> Publish for LMS.
  2. Project Name: SPAN/ALT SPAN/CALOSHA SPAN Course Name
  3. K:\1__Online\1 - Online Training\1-eLearning Courses\6 - SCORM 2004
  4. Size: Fit to Browser Window.
  5. LMS Profile: SCORM 2004
    • Customize > Customize
    • Type: 4th edition
    • Description:
      Una clase de capacitación en línea que cumple con las normas de OSHA para XXX. Reconocido por I-CAB. Este curso satisface los requisitos de OSHA para la capacitación del aula. Las preguntas del curso lo preparan para el examen final escrito.     • Then check off Rate Number of Slides Viewed
    • Uncheck Rate quizzes and simulations
    • Okay > Save
  6. Publish
