Whenever we set up a new branch, we usually take the time to add the first group of users to help businesses get started with their safety training. You can add these users one by one, or as a group. This article will go over both of these processes.
Adding Users one by one in Talent
- If a new user in a branch does not have an account already, create a new user in the LMS:
-Choose the green Add User option in the upper left corner
-Include their name and email address
-Username: Their first name, all letters lowercase (Ex. john)
-Password: Their last name, first letter uppercase, all other letters lowercase (Ex. Smith)
-Under Company Name put the branch name
-Click the green Add User option at the bottom
- After the user has been created you can add courses under the Courses tab. You will also need to add them to their branch under the Branches tab. Both of these tabs have a search feature that will make it easy to find both the course and branch tag.
Importing Loads of Users in Talent
- After you add the course to the branch, add users to the branch by opening the Excel document named Import-Samples and choosing the Read Only option
- Under the Users tab at the bottom of the Excel page, enter this information sent to you by the Branch Manager:
- -First name (No spaces)
-Last name (No spaces)
-Email
-Branch tag (what you entered in the Name section in creating the branch)
- Make sure there are no spaces before or after the names you enter. The Login column will auto-generate the username for each individual and cannot have spaces to do so. In the LMS, go to Import - Export
- Copy the data from the Excel document (including the column 1 headings) and paste it into the Import - Export tab. This tab is located on Talent's home page.
- Hit the green Import button on the lower left.
