The content you create is refined through the process of critique. Critique and feedback will be given to you for all of the content you create. Depending upon your role in the media department, the process of refinement may be slightly different, but never forget that by giving and receiving feedback you can create better products and catch any errors.
Video Critique
After you have created a video, you will send the edited video to the media department's assistant manager. The assistant manager will give feedback that you will then implement into the video. Once you made the first fixes that were suggested, you can send the video back to the assistant manager. The assistant manager will then watch the video again and pass it on to the manager for final approval or provide additional suggestions.
**currently there is only an Assistant Manager and therefore final approval will be given by them until a manager exists.
Animation Critique
An animation will go through the same critique process as videos do since they tend to go hand in hand. As a matter of fact, there should be at least one animation in every full size video training. Send your work to the assistant manager and be sure to implement all suggested fixes before you send it back to the assistant manager to be given final approval.
Graphic Design Critique
When creating graphics for training courses, you will have additional critiques from the Learning Development department to ensure they convey the correct message for the needs of the training course.
Once you receive graphic requests from the writers, you will create the graphics the writers need. Remember to ask the writers any clarifying questions about graphic content and design as needed. Once you have completed your drafts, you will send them to the assistant manager for approval. With the assistant manager, you will go over the graphics and adjust anything that needs to be changed.
If two designers are working on the same project together, they should swap drafts to ensure that the graphics are uniform before presenting them to management.
**When a manager exists, they will be added to this process.
Then you will tell the Learning Development department that the graphics are ready for their review. They will analyze the graphics and provide additional feedback that may require you to make additional edits.
Once you have the final approval from them, you can export the final graphics and put them in the drives for the writers to retrieve.
Keep in mind that all feedback is good feedback! The critique process ensures that all of our graphics, videos, and animations follow the same style and are free from errors. If you ever would like additional critique, you are welcome to send content in the Media teams channel to get feedback from the rest of your team.
