As a member of the quality assurance department, you are expected to know a little bit about Microsoft Excel. We use it for most of our audits. We don't expect you to know how to create a dashboard on Excel or run computational analyses, but we do expect you to know how to create a functional spreadsheet for an auditing project, fill out lists effectively, and know the basic functions of how to use an Excel spreadsheet.
Below is a list of things that we commonly do during audits and what we expect you to be able to do. Please take the time to click these links and review these tutorials to make sure that you know how to do each of these functions.
- Freezing panes
- Leaving comments
- Duplicating content between cells
- Creating consecutive lists
- Creating drop-down lists
- Searching and identifying duplicates
