While you may not be creating trainings as a member of the QA department, you will probably have to audit or review content made by other departments. In order to be effective in your audits, you will need to have in-depth knowledge of the corporate and graphics style guide.
This version of the style guide was originally created for the media team, and so it incorporates all aspects of the style guide plus additional features made for the graphics style guide.
It is mainly focused on visual elements, like logos, fonts, colors, and graphics. Each component of the style guide can also be found in an article on Zendesk. Here are the articles which are covered in the presentation:
- Fonts
- Colors
- Logos & Favicons
- Branded Elements (stick figure man, graphic color palette, arrows, tables, etc.)
- Graphic Fonts & Titles
Note: Keep in mind that some brands are more fleshed out then others, but as brands continue to expand, so will the style guide.
Additional material that is more focused on writing can be found in the corporate style guide section of Zendesk. Below you can find a few articles you should review in conjunction with your training that is not in the presentation.
- Which Branding Do I Use?
- Expressing Standards
- Using Measurements in Graphics
- Common Usage & Grammar Rules
- Alpha List
- Course Naming Guidelines
